The problem
If a customer cannot get an eTIMS invoice from you, they cannot claim what they paid you. Sooner or later they buy from someone who can.
eTIMS is KRA's electronic Tax Invoice Management System. It applies to every business, not only to those registered for VAT, and it applies whether you raise ten invoices a month or ten thousand.
Two things make it urgent rather than administrative. An expense that is not supported by an eTIMS invoice is disallowed from the 2026 year of income, which means your customers need one from you before they can claim what they paid. And failing to comply carries penalties reaching KES 1,000,000.
There is more than one way to be on eTIMS. A consultant invoicing a few clients a month does not need what a wholesaler moving hundreds of lines a day needs. We look at how you actually invoice, recommend the method that fits, take you through registration, and where you already run a point of sale or an accounting package, connect it so an invoice is raised once instead of twice.
What we do not do is file your returns or stand behind your tax position. We set the system up and make it work. Your tax agent advises you on what to declare, and if you do not have one, we will tell you plainly that you need one.
